Rome invites Oslo to EXPO 2030 and proposes common projects in the cultural, scientific and business sectors

A ministerial delegation headed by Ambassador Lorenzo Angeloni, Director General for the promotion of the country system, was in Oslo for two days of talks aimed at deepening the themes of Rome's candidacy for EXPO 2030.

The delegation was composed by Min. Plen. Andrea Orizio, representing the Promoting Committee for the candidacy of Rome to Expo 2030, Professor Francesca Cappelletti, Director of the Borghese Gallery; Professor Carlo Barbante, Director of the Institute of Polar Studies of the CNR, together with the CEOs of Vard and Fincantieri Group, Alberto Maestrini, and the Vice President of International Affairs of Ansaldo Energia, Stefano Santinelli.

The Ambassador to Oslo, Stefano Nicoletti and his Vicar, Luca Fraticelli, took part in several meetings - scheduled by the Italian Embassy in Oslo - held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministery of Commerce and Industry as well as at Innovation Norway, at The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, the National Museum and the Norwegian Institute of Polar Studies.

The purpose of the mission was not only to illustrate to the Norwegian counterparts the themes underlying Rome's candidacy for EXPO 2030 ("People and territories: urban regeneration, innovation and inclusion"), but also to propose new bilateral partnerships in the entrepreneurial, cultural (with the New National Museum of Norway) and scientific (with the Norwegian Institute of Polar Studies) fields.
