Norwegian stage of “Connessioni02”, the roadshow of the Umbria Region, in Oslo on March 30th

“Connessioni02” roadshow is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Perugia, the University for Foreigners, the National Gallery, Umbria Jazz, the “San Francesco di Assisi” airport, the Piano Solo Music School, the Italian Embassy in Oslo and the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo.

The initiative focuses on cultural, artistic, commercial, entrepreneurial, educational and territorial promotion of the Umbria Region, starting from the Perugino exhibition hosted by the National Gallery.

The director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo, Raffaella Giampaola, said: “We are enthusiastic about supporting the Connessioni project, because it is an opportunity to present the territory with an integrated and systemic approach. The initiative of March 30 will be a precious window on the Italian cultural landscape, and in this case of Umbria, which we promote here in Norway on a daily basis. We will involve an audience of lovers and enthusiasts of Italy but also personalities from the cultural world and beyond. According to a study conducted by Enit, Norway was the second European market in which the food and wine product for the destination Italy weighs the most and is often combined with a cultural offer”.

This year we celebrate the five hundredth anniversary of the death of the great Umbrian painter, Pietro Vannucci (1450 ca – 1523), known as Il Perugino, absolute protagonist of the Umbrian Renaissance.

On March 30, the Italian Cultural Institute offers a real Umbrian evening, with a presentation of the Umbrian painter par excellence, a piano concert and a tasting of typical food from Umbria.
