Here&#8217;s what you need to do!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Are you thinking of going to study in Italy?<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Are you about to leave?<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Here&#8217;s what you need to do in three steps.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h4>1. Get a &#8220;Statement of equal value&#8221; (Dichiarazione di valore)<\/h4>\n<p>The \u201cDichiarazione di valore\u201d (Statement of equal value) is a document describing an educational qualification obtained in other countries than Italy.<\/p>\n<p>In order to obtain a Dichiarazione di valore, you must deliver these documents (personally or by mail) to the Consular section of the Italian Embassy in Oslo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A copy of the original diploma or degree<\/strong>\u00a0(not a digital copy), endorsed with the\u00a0<strong>stamp<\/strong>\u00a0of the school or university and\u00a0<strong>signed<\/strong>\u00a0by a school official, certified as authentic by the Notary Public (<strong>Tingretten<\/strong>\u00a0in Norway) and legalized with an\u00a0<strong>apostille stamp<\/strong> affixed by the <strong>Governor\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Office<\/strong>\u00a0(Statsforvalteren in Norway, the Ministery of Foreign Affairs in Iceland). Please include the Diploma Supplement\/Transcript of Record.<\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>copy of a valid ID or passport<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amboslo.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Modello_richiesta_dichiarazione_di_valore.docx\">Modello_richiesta_dichiarazione_di_valore<\/a><\/strong>\u201c, completed in its entirety and signed.<\/li>\n<li>If requested by the Italian university campus,\u00a0<strong>a translation of the diploma to Italian<\/strong>. The translation must be carried out by an\u00a0<strong>official translator\u00a0<\/strong>with an\u00a0<strong>apostille stamp<\/strong>. If your diploma is in English, the translation to Italian is not necessary in order to obtain the Dichiarazione di valore.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Collect the Dichiarazione di valore<\/strong>, together with your diploma, personally or by a delegated person, at the Embassy (on appointment only). The documents can be sent back to the applicant by postal mail (shipping costs will be charged to the applicant).<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Apply for an Italian tax code (codice fiscale)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Send by e-mail to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:consolato.oslo@esteri.it\">consolato.oslo@esteri.it<\/a> the following documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the scansion of the (printed and signed) \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agenziaentrate.gov.it\/portale\/documents\/20143\/278995\/Form+AA48+Editable_AA4_8_Modello_ING.pdf\/e32d806e-92e3-05a5-37ac-ab270ff86a74\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tax code request form<\/a><\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>the scansion of your identity document (in PDF format in black and white, not in color). Digital signatures are not valid.
