On April 22, the Italian Ambassador to Oslo, Stefano Nicoletti, together with Giulia Marcon, Deputy Director of Tourism for the Piedmont Region, inaugurated the “Buy Piemonte Roadshow” at the Oslo Military Samfund.
This fantastic event connected Italian tourism companies with the Norwegian market. Despite global challenges, Norwegians love nature, outdoor activities, culture, and excellent food and wine, and Piedmont has it all.
From the elegance of Turin to the Alps, from world-renowned wine regions like Langhe and Monferrato to charming villages, the region offers unforgettable experiences year-round.
The numbers speak for themselves: Norwegian visitors to Piedmont grew by more than 15% in 2025, exceeding pre-pandemic levels! And some Norwegians don’t just visit, they settle, creating vibrant communities of happy homeowners, like in Agliano Terme, where Italian wine meets Norwegian traditions in unique events like the “Barbera og fisk” festival, a blend of Piedmontese Barbera and Norwegian cod.
Looking to the future, platforms like TravelMatch (B2B) and TravelXpo (B2C) offer great opportunities to further strengthen tourism ties. A heartfelt thanks to the Piedmont Region for this initiative, to the three chefs for bringing various Piedmontese specialties to Oslo, and to all those working to further bring Norway and Italy closer together!
