In addition to a brief initial introduction to the company’s history, Alessia Galfano reiterated the importance of Vår Energi reserves in her work for the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Vår Energi has been operating on the Norwegian continental shelf for more than 50 years and has a diverse and robust project portfolio, with 36 production sites and nearly 1,000 employees. The webinar was created with the aim of offering more opportunities to Italian suppliers; in fact, it is estimated that in the first half of 2022, 97% of the expenditure invoiced by the company went to Norwegian suppliers.
Vår Energi uses Magnet JQS and invites potential suppliers to create a profile on the portal, allowing them to participate in all tenders. Vår Energi has more than 2,200 suppliers from more than 60 countries.
Vår Energi has also implemented a new contract and supplier relationship management solution, Ivalua, which offers privileged communication channels for general inquiries and related to tenders and contracts. The company also follows a high standard of corporate governance and expects business partners to operate in accordance with this management policy.
Finally, Vår Energi reports that the company aims to be a stable and secure energy supplier, as well as to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030.
Today, Vår Energi remains a leading independent producer of oil and gas and one of the largest exploration and production companies in Norway.
