A few days ago Ms. Rósa Björg Jónsdóttir took up the post of Italian Consul General in Reykjavik.
Rósa replaces Mr. Pétur Björnsson, who held this position for 28 years.
Graduated in librarianship, Rósa studied in Iceland and Italy. She is the first woman to exercise the functions of Italian Honorary Consul in the district of the Italian Embassy.
