The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) promotes the training of young international leaders in the fields of energy transition, climate change and sustainable development through the “I ACT” programme, a toolkit containing training modules on climate change and the role of renewable sources in the ecological transition.
IRENA is an intergovernmental agency consisting of 169 member countries and the EU. In 2023, 160 young people trained by IRENA shared their experience in over 40 countries, involving around 6,000 boys and girls. This year, the aim is to reach an even higher number of young people and countries.
