On March 20, the Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo invited Italian students who are in Norway thanks to the Erasmus program or who are engaged in other exchange programs with various Universities in Oslo (University of Oslo; Oslo-Met; BI – Norwegian Business School), to an event, in order to present the activities of the Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute and to a briefing on career opportunities at the MAECI and in other international contexts.

The event was opened by an introductory speech by the Italian Ambassador in Oslo, Stefano Nicoletti, and by the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Raffaella Giampaola. The Embassy Counsellor Luca Fraticelli then presented the opportunities for access to the diplomatic career and other administrative careers at the MAECI and the Italian diplomatic network.
The event represented a networking opportunity for the almost 50 Italian students present, who showed interest in the world of diplomacy, international careers and the MAECI-MIUR-CRUI internship itself.

The Ambassador to Norway, Stefano Nicoletti commented: “I was very pleased to meet so many Italian students who attend various universities in Oslo on the topics of economics and finance, political and historical sciences, law and statistical and social sciences who may be interested in embarking on the path of diplomacy or other international careers in the future. We tried to offer them extensive information on the various career opportunities offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but also by international organizations. Finally, we invited them to participate in the Italian Research Day in the World that we will celebrate in Oslo on May 20, at the Oslo-MET University”.
