The first event of a new series called “Literary Evenings of the Italian Embassy in Oslo” took place on Friday, October 26th with the presentation of the book “Dalla A alla Å. Norvegia. Istruzioni per l’uso” by blogger Camilla Bonetti.
The book, a best-seller in our country, is a kind of an alternative guide to Norway and summarizes the basic things to be acquainted with before venturing into Norway.
A word for each letter of the alphabet, chosen with the approval of those for whom Norwegian is their mother tongue and Norway their homeland, “Dalla A alla Å” is an ironic and unusual journey to discover the real Norway: a journey in 28 stops (one for each letter of the alphabet) through culture, food, traditions, landscapes and the new challenges the country is facing.
Organized on the occasion of the Italian Language Week in the World, and hosted at the Italian Institute of Culture, the presentation of the book by Camilla Bonetti, attended by a large audiencve, was an opportunity to discuss, reflect and compare the different perceptions that Italians have of Norway.
The literary evenings will continue with monthly appointments and intend to present books by Italians or Norwegian authors who have ties with Italy and which can therefore represent the link between the culture and traditions of the two countries.
