Medical studies in English at the Universities of Bari, Milano, Pavia, Rome La Sapienza, Rome Tor Vergata, Seconda Università of Naples.

The Italian Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MIUR) informs that at the Universities of Bari, Milano, Pavia, Rome La Sapienza, Rome Tor Vergata, Seconda Università of Naples offer a number of places for students who wish to enroll to medical studies in English. These students are required to take an aptitude test as part of the admissions process. The English language test is called the International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT) and is equivalent of the Italian admission test. The test is developed and delivered by the Cambridge Assessment Group (Admissions Testing Service).


The online registration for IMAT2013is mandatory and closes on March 20th. The test will take place on April 15th, 2013.


Please access Universitaly website and follow the registration procedure step by step. You will be asked to supply the information required in the selection notice, to choose three universities among those listed in the notice, to indicate the center where you would like to take your test, and to pay the registration fee of 120 Euro. 

Before you start your enrolment procedure, make sure you have all the required information at hand.


On April 8th MIUR will publish on its website details about all the test centers available.
