The Embassy takes part in the “EU Beach Clean up 2019” in Oslo

On September 27, 2019, the Italian Embassy took part in the #EU Beach Clean up 2019 initiative, organized by the Delegation of the European Union in Oslo.

Ambassador Colella participated in the event together with the two trainees of the Embassy.

Our Embassy, which since March 4, 2019 is the first plastic-free in the Italian diplomatic network, has enthusiastically joined the clean up day of the beaches in the Bygdøy area, a symbolic action of the initiatives that are needed to combat the spread of waste plastic and micro-plastic, found on beaches around the world.

The initiative is part of the European Union campaign “EU Beach Clean up”, through which the EU Delegations and the UN offices in the world aim to increase awareness of pollution from plastic materials, especially at sea, and to encourage people to take care of our planet.
