CEPI (Coalition for Pandemic Preparation) is an international organization founded in 2017 in Davos with the aim of accelerating the development and investment in vaccines against priority pathogens such as Ebola, MERS etc.
The organization is headquartered in Oslo and employs 11,000 employees and manages a budget of $ 53 billion.
The CEPI has received a loan of 20 million euros from the Italian Development Cooperation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs with the aim of developing 30 new vaccines.
CEPI is a global partnership between public, private, philanthropic, and civil society organisations, working to accelerate the development of vaccines against emerging infectious diseases and to enable equitable access to these vaccines during outbreaks.
