In collaboration with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Young Ambassadors Society association is selecting young delegates who wish represent Italy in the dialogue groups who will be responsible for drafting the Final Communiqué which will transmitted to the presidents and heads of state present at the G7 (19-21 May 2023 in Japan) and the G20 (9-10 September 2023 in India).
The Italian delegations will focus on the following topics:
- Sustainability and the environment
- Digital transformation and technology
- Economy and future of work
- Inclusion, equal opportunities and health
To join the two Italian delegations (Y7 and Y20) candidates must be aged between 19 and 30 years old in 2023, be fluent in English (written, spoken and reading) and Italian ( writing, speaking and reading), have experience of volunteering, studying or working in at least one of the topics of the Summit, as well as have the ability and willingness to work in groups and participate in consultations (do research, write policy papers, participate in meeting online and possibly face-to-face in Rome), as well as have a good understanding of global issues with a multicultural perspective. Delegates must be able to obtain visas to enter the host country if required.
All the expenses during the Summits will be covered. However, the costs of the trip to and from the Summit locations (Japan and/or India) and for any meetings in Rome with representatives of the Italian institutions will be borne by each delegate.
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 December 2022 for Y7 and 31 January 2023 for Y20. Applications are reviewed and evaluated in order of arrival.
The main purpose of the Young Ambassadors Society (YAS) is to offer young people opportunities for dialogue and cooperation in the international field in order to share their ideas on issues related to the economy, international politics, innovation and sustainability with policies global -makers.
