The “lung” of Roma Expo 2030 will be the largest urban solar park in the world: 150,000 square meters of “energy trees” completed by the “Eco-system 0.0” pavilion, the tallest building in the Expo, which provides cooling through evaporation.
The Sails (“Vele”) by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava – two domes shaped as shark’s fins – will be transformed into one of the main pavilions, hosting public events and showing the transformation of the area of Tor Vergata.
Next to the Sails, the main entrance to the exhibition site will act as a hub for mobility through a long green corridor that will connect Expo 2030 to the archaeological sites of the Via Appia and other historic buildings and monuments in Rome.
