The mission of Italian companies and entities in the space sector 🚀 to Norway began on 11 June in Oslo. Accompanied by Ambassador Stefano Nicoletti and the Norwegian Ambassador to Rome, Johan Vibe, the over thirty participants met the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Trade and Industry Tor Sandvik, the Director General of the Norwegian Space Agency (NOSA), Christian Hauglie-Hanssen, and representatives of Innovation Norway.
On June 12, the mission visited the new Norwegian spaceport on the island of Andøya, which is located beyond the Arctic Circle. The space port will soon be active in launching satellites into polar orbits. The President of ASI, Teodoro Valente and the CEOs of 11 Italian companies in the space sector, as well as representatives of our military air force, participated in the mission.
The aim of the two days was to strengthen the opportunities for collaboration with Norway in the aerospace sector and in the new Norwegian spaceport, as well as the concrete implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two national space agencies last 2021.
During the visit , Ambassador Stefano Nicoletti and the Norwegian Ambassador to Rome, Johan Vibe, received a commemorative plaque from the President of ASI, Teodoro Valente.
