Iceland: Volcanic activity has resumed south of Stóraskógafell, in the Svartsengi area

A new eruption began on November 20 south of Stóraskógafell, in the Svartsengi area. The town of Grindavik has been evacuated. Icelandic authorities are constantly monitoring the area, where several eruptions have already occurred in recent months.
