The Embassy provides notary services only to Italian citizens.
The foreign national who wants a power of attorney, or a notarial deed to be recognized in Italy, will have to contact a Norwegian Notary Public (notarius publicus), who will proceed with the drafting of a deed in Norwegian.
To be recognized in Italy, the deed must subsequently have an apostille and be translated into Italian.
However, it is advisable to also contact a notary office in Italy to define the procedure and the details, since in fact it will be the Italian notary who will have to carry out the will attested in the power of attorney.
